Why Chiropractic?

Hello! Welcome to my new blog! Whether we are strangers or good friends, I truly hope you  learn a lot from my posts while having some fun along the way!  Many people are searching for a tool to enhance their quality of life;  more energy, vitality and longevity! While chiropractic is an important tool for health, we will also cover different health tips and subjects to improve our health in other ways. A well educated person is also more likely to make changes needed to take that next step to wellness!  Let's go!

First of all, let me introduce myself.  Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I always knew that I wanted to be a health provider. I loved helping people from a very young age.  I chose to pursue premed/ biology at the U of Winnipeg. Senior biology classes intrigued me and I was fascinated with how intricate and amazing the human body can be! So, when I started to get daily migraines, I started searching for answers. Medical intervention included medication, which didn't provide long lasting results so I tried chiropractic ( a type of health care that was very much foreign to me)!

This is what my first chiropractor explained;

Chiropractic is a natural form of healthcare. Without using drugs or surgery, we strive to help the body work at its maximum capacity! The brain is the master system of the body and controls and coordinates everything! Information travels along the nerve pathways from the brain to its destination; heart, lungs, bowel bladder kidneys and everywhere else. He explained that my headaches may be related to a subluxation ( improper position ) of the bones in my neck.  After a few adjustments, with him correcting the placement of the bones, he helped the nerves to communicate with my head and the headaches resolved.

That was my aha moment and I eventually researched and fell in love with chiropractic and the rest is history!  There is so much more to chiropractic than pain relief and I truly see chiropractic as a tool towards better health.  I strive to be a health resource for you and your families and the community at large! Please contact me with any health and wellness related questions you may have and I will do my best to cover anything I can!
